Partnerships for the Coming Year
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | 12/09/21
The California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation was recently awarded a grant by the Building Equitable Communities Fund of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, (SRCF) an advocate for quality of life, dedicated to connecting people who care with charitable causes. An effective steward of the region’s charitable assets since 1983, SRCF’s mission is to transform our community through focused leadership and advocacy that inspire partnerships and expand giving.
California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation was founded in 1981 and continues to serve California’s most vulnerable communities--rural immigrants and farmworkers.
“CRLA Foundation expanded our services in the past year to address the increased need among farmworkers and immigrants for assistance in areas of housing and healthcare,” Executive Director, Amagda Pérez shares.
“Two items of excitement include our developing a permanent housing legal clinic, and strengthening our connections with rural families through ensuring that youth are fully supported and continue to receive access to quality education throughout this global pandemic. Funding from the Sacramento Region Community Foundation will give us additional resources to stand with and advocate on behalf of our communities during such challenging times.”
